This coffee is grown in the Dom Viçoso area of Minas Gerais, slap bang in the heartland of Brazilian coffee production. The coffee is sourced from a small collection of local family owned farms, who all contribute some of their highest quality lots.
Grown in the Mantiqueira de Minas region, this coffee thrives in the exceptional terroir of the Serra da Mantiqueira mountains—the first coffee-growing area in Brazil to receive a geographical indication. Sourced from a small collection of local family owned farms, the cherries are carefully hand-picked at peak ripeness, then pulped and patio-dried to produce a sweet, well-balanced cup. Unlike much of Brazil, hand-picking is a common practice here, made necessary by the region’s rugged, mountainous landscape.
