Founded in 2007 by eight women, AMPROCAL Womens Cooperative has grown to become a leading supplier of green coffee, also boasting their own roastery and coffee shop. The organisation was created to bolster female producers in the Ocotepeque region of Honduras, and has since grown to over 100 members.
This coffee is named after one of its contributing members Delmy Regalado and her farm La Fortuna. You can read more about her story below.

Delmy inherited her farm from her parents, and remembers them busy cultivating small plots of sugarcane when she was still little. Now with three children of her own, Delmy’s drive is to pass on that inheritance she gained from her parents; Not just the farm, but her passion for growing coffee. She views this as the biggest fortune, and so named the farm after it - La Fortuna.
Delmy is also head of the International Womens Coffee Association for Honduras, known as Amucafe, a role she takes great pride in.
