♻️ 100% recyclable bags ♻️

Our bags are now 100% recyclable! We worked on a sustainable packaging solution for over a year, looking for a bag that is totally recyclable, whilst also fulfilling its core duty of keeping your coffee as fresh as possible.

If you live in the following Leicestershire counties/districts, you can put your finished bags directly into your recycling bin.

Leciester City, Blaby, Charnwood, Harborough, Hinckley & Bosworth, Melton and Oadby & Wigston.

Unfortunately, if you live in North West Leicestershire, you’ll have to visit your local supermarket recycling facility in order to recycle your bags.

If you live outside of Leicestershire, please check with your local authority if they recycle LDPE4 plastic, or, If your local authority waste website mentions the following, you’re good to recycle directly into your green bin.

  • Bread bags
  • Frozen food bags
  • Squeezable bottles i.e hand cream tubes
  • Bubble wrap – if specifically mentioned

Our bags are made from LDPE4 plastic, which is one of the most environmentally friendly forms of plastic to recycle. Processing LDPE is also easier than most other plastics, with the potential for injection moulding, rotational moulding, film blowing and blow moulding. It can be made anti-slip, anti-static, antibacterial and flame retardant. With all this ease and potential, LDPE recycling is a growing industry in the UK, particularly as its post-consumer uses increase. One use is combining recycled LDPE with wood to create composite lumber. I wonder what your bag will be turned into!?

This is one of many steps we will take in the coming months and years in an effort to become more environmentally friendly, and we look forward to sharing this progress with you ♻️
